The band, called Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. They are comprised of fifteen people, all of whom can come and go freely, without responsibility or expectation.

Sometimes the band plays as a full 15 piece, spilling off the stage and sounding like a circus. Other times, it’s just Mike by himself with a guitar. Either way, the songs are the same, with a focus on the words, the ideas, and the lifestyle behind them.

The Beagle Club have been called catchy and politically smart sprawling indie pop with all the saws, banjos, and fiddles you can handle.

The album, called "The Husky Tenor", was written throughout 2005 right after the results of the presidential election. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band's drummer, Matt Davis. The bulk of the recording process happened at the Soto Voce Academy of Music, a performance hall/dance studio in Altoona, PA.

The 2nd pressing of "The Husky Tenor" were paid for and assembled by the band itself. 1,000 copies were pressed. The Beagle Club played in every state on the East Coast, as north as Kitchner, Ontario, and as west as Chicago in a stretch of 200 shows in under a year. During this time all 1,000 CDs were sold.
