about

Released in 1993 this second studio recording by LEGEND presents a harder edged sound than the debut. The introduction of John Macklin and Martyn Rouski on Drums and Bass respectively gave the band the really solid and imaginative rhythm section that was sadly lacking on Light in Extension.

Second Sight also heralded greater sophistication in song writing and arrangements, featuring as it does two epic tracks, an approach which was to become a hallmark of the band. This album further highlights that Legend is the forgotten forerunner to all those Metal bands with classically trained female vocals that flooded the late 90's and the new millennium. And as in most other contexts too, the original is the best!

From the very well written melodic songs, and the unusual band sound, the very strong guitar and keyboard work, the great vocals and the powerful rhythm section clearly makes Second Sight is an excellent album. I think that many Prog fans as well as many non- Prog fans might enjoy this music.
